From Crypto Crime to Prison Rhymes: Razzlekhan’s Musical Return
Heather “Razzlekhan” Morgan, the convicted money launderer serving time for her role in the infamous 2016 Bitfinex hack, is preparing to release new music while transitioning out of federal custody. The 35-year-old rapper and social media personality, scheduled for full release on December 28, 2025, will drop her track “Turki$h Martha” this Friday, marking her first musical release since imprisonment.
The Bitfinex Hack Connection
Morgan was sentenced in November 2024 for laundering more than 119,000 BTC stolen in the Bitfinex breach, one of the largest cryptocurrency thefts in history. Her husband, Ilya Lichtenstein, received a five-year sentence for money laundering and claimed sole responsibility for the hack itself. Federal authorities successfully recovered the majority of the stolen Bitcoin, now valued at over $11 billion.
The Criminal Case Details
The couple’s 2022 arrest brought international attention to the massive cryptocurrency heist. Morgan received an 18-month sentence and is currently overseen by a residential reentry management office in Sacramento as she completes her prison term.
Recovery of Stolen Assets
Despite the scale of the theft, law enforcement agencies managed to recover most of the stolen Bitcoin, preventing what could have been one of the largest financial losses in cryptocurrency history.
Prison Popularity and Musical Content
In a surprising twist, Morgan claims her new song became a favorite among both prison staff and inmates during her incarceration at Victorville Federal Correctional Complex. “Both prison staff & inmates at Victorville LOVED this song & asked me to rap ‘Turki$h Martha’ regularly,” she wrote in a November 12 social media post.
Song Style and Themes
The new track continues Morgan’s distinctive musical style, featuring her performing in an Ottoman-style war helmet while rapping about baklava and making references to Turkish culture. Lyrics include lines like “real bitch nothing fake, just baklava, fuck cake” and references to being a “Bedouin,” continuing her established persona as the “Versace bedouin” and “crocodile of Wall Street.”
Cultural Influences and Persona
Morgan’s connection to Turkey stems from her time studying at Bilkent University in Ankara as part of an exchange program. Her rapper persona, Razzlekhan, which she describes as “Genghis Khan, but with more pizzazz,” gained viral attention following her arrest when previous rap videos resurfaced online.
Continuing Content Creation
Even while facing sentencing in 2023 and 2024, Morgan maintained her creative output, releasing a song about the emotional strain of impending incarceration and maintaining an active presence on Cameo, where she billed herself as “crypto’s favorite felon.” Her husband has since claimed in online statements that Morgan was unaware of the hack during the years it remained unsolved.
