Massive Crypto Rewards in Trading Card Packs

Cardsmiths has launched its groundbreaking Currency Series 5 trading cards, featuring five redemption cards that each contain a full Bitcoin—valued at over $100,000 per card at current market prices. The latest collection represents the company’s most ambitious crypto integration yet, offering collectors the chance to pull Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and Litecoin redemption cards from packs costing as little as $37.

Unprecedented Collector Demand and Accessibility

According to Cardsmiths CEO Steven Loney, the response to Currency Series 5 has shattered previous records. “Demand for Currency Series 5 has exceeded all prior releases. Interest has been both broader and deeper than with any previous Currency set,” Loney told Decrypt.

Affordable Entry with Life-Changing Rewards

The cards are available through select retailers and Cardsmiths’ website, with two-pack boxes starting at $37. Each pack contains five trading cards, with crypto redemption cards appearing in approximately 1 of every 96 packs. This accessibility has created remarkable success stories, including collectors who turned $13 packs into over $100,000 in cryptocurrency.

Enhanced Collectible Features

Beyond the crypto redemptions, Currency Series 5 introduces a non-redeemable 1/1 Bitcoin trading card as a premier collectible item. The company collaborated with renowned artists including Gunship Revolution Studios, Jon McTavish, and prominent street artists to create visually distinctive card designs that appeal to both crypto enthusiasts and traditional collectors.

Proven Track Record of Crypto Wins

The crypto trading card concept has already generated multiple life-changing wins for collectors. In February, a user pulled a Bitcoin redemption card from the Holiday Currency set, netting six-figure profits. Another collector in August secured a Bitcoin card valued around $115,000 from a pack costing approximately $13.

Payment Flexibility and Future Plans

Cardsmiths has partnered with BitPay to enable cryptocurrency payments, allowing customers to purchase cards using Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, and USDC stablecoin. Looking ahead, Loney confirmed that “development on future sets, including Currency Series 6, is already underway,” signaling continued innovation in the intersection of collectibles and cryptocurrency.

The Future of Crypto Collectibles

With supplies still available and growing mainstream interest in both trading cards and cryptocurrency, Cardsmiths’ Currency Series represents a significant evolution in how digital assets can be integrated with physical collectibles. The success of previous series and the expanded offerings in Series 5 suggest this innovative approach to crypto distribution has found a sustainable market niche.
